Planting & Care
1. Planting: Your Don’s Dwarf Wax Myrtle is easy to maintain but needs an area with well-drained soil and 4 to 8 hours of sunlight per day. After you’ve selected a suitable location, dig a hole that’s two or three times the width of your shrub’s root ball. Finally, place your plant before back filling the soil and watering to settle its roots.
2. Watering: Water your Don’s Dwarf regularly during the first growing season, about once per week or when the surrounding soil is dry. Check for soil dryness about 2 to 3 inches down in the surrounding soil. If it’s dry, it’s time to water.
3. Fertilizing: Feed your Wax Myrtle with a general-purpose fertilizer in early spring for best results.
4. Pruning: You can prune or shear your Don’s Dwarf Wax Myrtle for a neater, tidier appearance or for your preferred shape.
