Now You Can Enjoy the Beauty and Fragrance of Lilacs Spring Through Fall!
This modern Lilac not only has the traditional dainty, fragrant blooms that have made Lilacs so popular, it also has the amazing ability to keep producing blooms during the summer and fall. Its heavy spring bloom will perfume your garden; then the plant rests a bit, begins reblooming in summer and just keeps on until stopped by frost. Though these later panicles of bloom are not as abundant or large as in the soft lilac-purple blooms of spring, their color is richer, especially when nights are cooler.
Each Stem Produces Flowers, So You’ll Have 100’s of Blooms
Since every branch produces blooms, as long as the plant is actively growing, you will keep having new blooms. They are most attractively displayed on slender stems that arch gracefully at the ends.
Healthy, Hardy, Easy to Grow, and Deer-Resistant, too!
Bloomerang forms a compact, upright plant only 4-5 feet tall and a bit narrower, so a line of them makes a lovely colorful hedge. It also shines in the back of the border, providing color when other plants have given out. More disease resistant than most Lilacs, it is quite easy to grow, and is attractive to everyone but deer!
Growing Tips:
You don’t have to prune it to get it to rebloom, but a light shearing after spring bloom will give you a fuller plant and more blooms later. This Lilac grows best in fertile garden soil and it needs good drainage, so adding a generous amount of compost (aged leaves and organic matter) to your hole when you plant will help your Bloomerang get off to a good start.
