The Sweetest Blueberry!
The Peach Sorbet Blueberry is one of the newest varieties of berries. It’s been bred to give you an incredibly sweet, flavorful punch!
This plant gets just 2 ft. tall- the perfect size if you’re potting it up as a patio plant. Each bush is covered with white blooms in spring, followed by delicious blueberries each summer.
In fall, the bush turns pink, making this a true 3-season attraction to your garden.
Blueberries are one of nature’s super fruits that contain tons of nutrients and vitamins, but no fat… making them a perfect for snack! They’re also loaded with tons of antioxidants.
As an added bonus, these berries do not have the tart taste that most blueberries varieties are known for. Instead, they are renowned for their sweet peach-like flavor, making them great for desserts.
In the garden, plant the Peach Sorbet Blueberry in full to part sun and keep it well-watered if you have it in a container. It does not need to have a second plant for pollination, but you will get a much larger harvest if you have two plants.
Even if you grow it in a container, you do not need to bring the Peach Sorbet Blueberry indoors over the winter since it is hardy all the way north to zone 5.
Most plants are carefree and do not need pruning. If you do decide to prune, do so in late winter before the new growth starts. The flowers and fruit are produced on new wood and you don’t want to cut off your fruit by pruning too late.
